Company:

Sonic Software is an integration middleware software company. Sonic builds enterprise infrastructure that integrates applications and business processes. Recently, NATO has purchased Sonic’s products to work with its’ air defense systems. "Sonic keeps pace with this demanding quality standard with assistance from the automation architecture and methodology of qaSignature."

Product:

Sonic Bridges - a JMS/JCA adapter to connect SonicMQ messaging software with various application servers such as BEA WebLogic, IBM MQSeries / WebSphere, and Tibco Enterprise along with FTP, and Email. Product has no front or back end.

Challenge:

They said it was impossible to automate the testing because of no front end or back end. They were using 7 engineers to perform the testing manually.

Concerns:

They tried to automate internally and failed. They were very skeptical about qaSignatures’ ability to develop automation for this application.

qaSignature Solution:

  • Developed Test Infrastructure, Test Harness, Testware and Reporting solution.
  • The 8-hour full regression test replaced a cycle of 3 - weeks manual tests performed by 7 developers.
